Filming on Clifford Road Allotments

In October 2009 the allotment site was used to make part of a Directgov TV advertisement. The on site preparation for filming started at 7.00am and activities continued until late afternoon. Several hours were spent actually ‘filming’ which produced final footage of less than a minute used in the TV advertisement. The big ‘star’ of the day was Honor Blackman who you may remember seeing walking along an allotment path with a young, barrow-pushing and bare chested male in tow.

More recently, in February 2011, a group of students from The London Film School made a film called “The Rainy Day Moustache Company” using several areas of the allotment site. The film was a silent movie made in black and white.
